In Narnia, they call it the Island of Ramadu.
In a football match, this is the 88th minute.
In a race, they call it the final sprint.
In world war II, they called it the battle of Stalingrad.
In my life, I call it the A levels.
For this is truly the beginning of the end.
One of those milestones in life where one must face.
Want, I do, to say that these are the times I live for,
The duels for a knight.
Though a prince and a king I hope to be,
But given a choice,
I do not want to fight this war.
Not scared, just have this feeling inside me,
Saying if i screw up now, I am done for for life.
And somehow i fear it will be prophetic.
Yes, some call it nervous.
Maybe I am.
The months of mugging.
Days of Emoing
Hours of typing this.
Minutes of getting those thought sorted out in my head.
All this will hopefully pay off.

Did the Physics specimen paper today. The last paper 3 i was able to lay my hands on. Ok. There still are a few on blackboard. but i did printed some. And all the papers i was able to get not bad marks. Normally due to many good questions and one bad questions. But wad if the paper tomorrow will be the mixture of all these bad questions? i dare not think. Worrier i may be, Worrier i am. I could not live and let live. Its just one kind of a pre-exam, waddyacallit?, ritual for me. Must emo.

Hopefully. I could do it.

On a brighter note. To everyone, yeah, those ppl mentioned in the farewell post, to all taking the a levels. Good Luck. Godspeed. And may the best be the best.

Ascension

Happy right now. to say the least. Got the Ace in maths i have been aiming for finally after so long. partially lucky. most of my unsure parts turned out correct. instead it was those which i was sure that wasnt right. which in a way is a problem on its own. but that can wait. or at least that can be solved i think. yeah. didnt get any question fully correct. always had a part here or there wrong. but at least this Ace is finally a sign that i am heading the right way.

was thinking bout aspirations and stuff. and grades. and yeah. trying to aim high now. after all, when ppl mention gd grades in the class, they think of kailee, jingqing, pk etc. and i am not in the list, nor do i think i will ever be there among the 'elites' of top scorers. but i am damn gonna try hard to be as near as i am to that man. sure i may falter along the way. and this may just be such a post where i was inspired by a single good result. but. yeah. even if i may fail terribly in the end. at least i am gonna damn hard try. Ace for Ascension. I am rising man. no one is taking me down. not even chem or econs tomorrow and friday.

Centenary post

lolz.. yeah.. this is my 100th post at the new blog.. haha.. so decided to celebrate it with a change in blogskin.. lolz.. decided to change to the blogger styles with my own things.. haha.. so it remains fairly the same but with the navigation at the right instead.. which suits me sort of better.. lolz..

anyway.. today chem was tough.. Paper 1 killed most ppl.. but i was convinced i will come out standing but then the MCQs delivered a crushing blow and i was left laughing at myself.. lolz. but was happy anyway.. cos its like the last day liao.. which is great.. haha.. cant wait to go out again.. but den others reminded me that there is just A levels.. 'oh ya'.. lolz... but still... a man gotta chill when a man gotta chill... lolz.

slacking now... but guess i going to at least try to do some maths later.. with music in my background.. which again means i will do quite little.. haha.. but will at least mayb 2 qns.. haha..

conincidental sia.. yesterday thought i was the only one who nth to do go check on Goal 2's release date.. den turn out Addi also checked.. den today Ran also said he checked yesterday.. LOL. looks like this is one movie on everyone's list.. haha..

i think i am ready. hope i am. haha. dunno what got into me.. still playing now at the last minute.. luckily this is not a level.. or i am screwed.. haha.. must seriously put my foot down and stop gaming soon after this ct2.. haha. soon. said that dunno how many times liao.. haha...

oh yeah. 端午节 came and just gone without me knowing it.. haha.. 1st time in my life i forgot about it sia..

sian. ct means skool reopening soon.. haha.. which means i am entering my last ever semester of uniformed school life.. well dun think that it would be much different.. but i guess i would just have to make the most out of this last 4-5 mths or so.. haha.. and after that.. it would be a new beginning... haha.. although there is a 2 yr break first... haha..

haven done my t3A nor anything related for that matter. cos i dun really have anything to write. dunno.. i have achieved i guess, in non academic, non cca stuff... but those dun count, do they? can i write say my reading of all the sandman comics and thus gain wonderful insights and thoughts? or i made many new friends? seriously, i think t3a is screwed up.. its like forcing people to achieve a preset achievement level. haha. but , whatever.. i am happy as i am and i dun think i have to achieve goals just to show it in my a levels. haha. it may be important. but there is obviously the other pages where more important stuff are. or so i feel i think i guess. haiz..

everything is moving so fast now i could hardly even try to stand, breathe and look out of the window.. how i wish it was yesterday once more.. dun feel myself at the moment.. there is this fear that suddenly resurfaced.. haiz.. last time i felt it was like 2 days before o levels.. aint it have came a little too early? dunno.. just not feeling right right now... like some superhero who have just lost something.. haha. dunno..

Fantastic Fantastic 4

lolz.. Fantastic 4: The rise of the silver surfer. i believe there is only 1 word to describe it, COWABUNGA-FANTASTIC... The silver surfer is like cool.... and even that is an understatement.. ok.. haha.. yeah.. the surfer is cool... but i think my fave character is The Thing... haha.. "Its Clobbering time".. haha.. he cute sia.. funny guy... lolz.. especially with the bear.. haha.

ok.. heres the breakdown.
Plot : 3.5/5
Not exactly amazing or revolutionary.. but still manages to please me while sticking to the comic story line well.. add in plenty of cool and funny one liners by the flash and the thing.. haha. just enough of ups and downs and the love scenes arent too dragged out like those in spidey3.
Visuals: 4.9/5
Comparable to those of Pirates3 i would say. almost perfect. Fantastically aesthetically pleasing. The many cool scenes, like the chase scene between the torch and surfer, and the final blast. And many things that make the movies.. the holes.. especially the one in the city, where u see the river dried up, with all the water flowing into the hole is super realistic, as well as the freezing of the sea in the 1st scene.. The only perhaps speck of dirt is the failure to potray Galactus in a better manner instead of a cloud of dust and fire. There is no purple man in the movie that i see, oh ya.. and the fantasticar is fantasticar. haha.
Audio: 3/5
ok.. dun really make the movie. but it sounded good. not as good as pirates where the intepretation of songs was superb. but still good nonetheless. And The silver Surfers voice is one that i would want. deep, thoughtful and cool.

Overall: 4/5
